I'm very proud of this story as a Burger King alum. It was my first job during high school in 2003. I worked there during my senior year in high school and through the year after before enrolling in Virginia Tech.

On its Twitter page, Burger King encourages its customers to also support fellow restaurants such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Subway, and others in order to help save jobs as Americans hope for a post-election stimulus.

Burger King's letter emphasized that "...restaurants emptying thousands of staff really need your support at the moment."

Although millions of people are struggling with hunger, millions more like Tyra Banks, are certainly not. If you are fortunate to still have regular income and do a great job packing your lunch 4-5 days out of the week, go ahead and treat yourself or your colleagues to a team meal.

Once the pandemic is over and everyone isn't stuck at home, back on the go, let's hope all the restaurants are still around for those long shifts and far away trips.
